Join the HLCT for its spring walk at Webb Memorial State Park, Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 pm.
Webb State Memorial Park is a scenic peninsula in North Weymouth with expansive views of Boston Harbor and it’s islands. The walk is an easy 1 and 1/2 miles. Dress for possible cool, windy ocean conditions.
Our guide, Ron Clough , spent his career working for the National Park Service and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. He will describe the industrial and military history of the site before it was acquired by the Commonwealth and opened as a state park in 1980.
Directions: Route 3A north, cross over the Back River and turn right on River Street at the light beyond the UHaul center. The park is at the end of River Street. Park in the lot marked SSARC on the right.
