Our Spring Walk will explore the Millikent Memorial Path, featuring rhododendrons and azaleas that may be in bloom by mid-May.
Our 2026 Spring Walk will be on Saturday, May 16 at 10 a.m. at Whitney Thayer Woods. HLCT chairperson Art Collins will lead a walk through Whitney Thayer Woods exploring the Milliken Memorial Path, a “wild garden” lined with rhododendrons and azaleas that was created in the late 1920s by Mabel Minott Milliken. We will gather in the parking lot at the entrance of Route 3A in Cohasset, opposite Sohier Street. This walk is approximately four miles in length, will include rocky, sometimes-steep terrain, and will be held rain or shine. Sturdy boots/shoes are recommended and trekking poles may be helpful.
