Join the Hingham Land Conservation Trust on our guided Fall Walk in Wompatuck State Park on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 AM. We will demonstrate our 50 Walks Initiative while sampling one of the walks available at Accord Brook/Woodpecker Pond.
This 1.9 mile walk begins at the Visitors Center and loops away from Union Street to the park’s western border. Enter Wompatuck at the main entrance on Union Street and take the second right turn into the Visitor Center parking lot where we will meet to begin the walk. Rocks and protruding tree roots make walking somewhat difficult along sections of the route.
In addition to being a beautiful guided Fall walk, this will be an opportunity to showcase our 50 Walks Initiative. We will demonstrate how to access and navigate the walk finder tool on our website, and we will launch a new 50 Walks Tracking Log for ambitious walkers to track their progress as they take on the challenge of completing all 50 of the walks.
