WAYS TO SUPPORT HLCT
The HLCT conserves land to protect our water supply, wildlife habitats and freshwater ponds and streams, while preserving passive recreational uses. Your gifts fund mowing to preserve open meadows, property surveys, community education and essential organizational functions. Presently we own 65 acres and hold conservation restrictions on 40 acres in the town of Hingham.
From the beginning, HLCT has been fully supported by private donations of land as well as time and money invested in our efforts to preserve and maintain land for conservation and recreation. As the pressure of land development continues in Hingham, timely land planning and conservation are critical. In addition to a financial donation, here are some ways you can help:
- Donate land or grant a conservation restriction. If you have land that you would like to protect, we are ready to work with you to achieve your goals
- Donate your time, enthusiasm and talent. Skills needed in public relations, communications, land and trail maintenance, administration, finance, photography, law, public service, woodworking and landscape construction
- Include HLCT in your estate planning.
