Whortleberry Hollow

Hingham Land Conservation Trust

This 13-acre tract of varied terrain has a public footpath access via granite steps from Cushing Street, but serves mostly as a neighborhood park. The land was given to the Trust by Suvia P. Whittemore in memory of the late Arthur E. Whittemore, Hingham’s Town Moderator for many years. Also, across Gardner Street Mrs. Whittemore donated 3 acres to the Conservation Commission, for wildlife and watershed protection.
